Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor – Power / Construction Projects
Location: UK (Site-based)
Start Date: March 2026 - july 2027
Spencer Ogden is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support a major power and construction project on a 12-month contract starting March 2026. This is a site-based role responsible for supervising mechanical installation activities, coordinating site teams, and supporting the Site Manager to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of works.
Main Purpose of the Role
Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on site, leading small teams on behalf of the Site Manager.
Act as a key point of contact for mechanical activities across assigned work fronts.
Maintain a strong duty of care for personal safety and the safety of all personnel on site.
Key Responsibilities
Work in accordance with all applicable QEHS procedures as briefed during site induction.
Supervise mechanical installation activities, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Plan ahead to ensure availability of engineering information, plant, materials, labour, and tooling for upcoming mechanical works.
Coordinate with other disciplines and contractors to ensure safe and efficient working practices.
Identify, record, and report delays or disruptions to the mechanical scope of work.
Key Results / Objectives
Comply with site rules, safety standards, and client procedures at all times.
Support the completion of project documentation and task cards in line with milestone dates.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets and expenses.
Experience
Apprentice-trained, C&G Minimum NVQ Level 3 (Mechanical discipline or equivalent) with 1+ years’ supervisory experience or industry-recognised training with 2+ years’ experience on Electricity Supply Industry, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or General Construction sites.
Proven experience supervising mechanical installation activities.
Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental legislation within a power or industrial environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead site teams and work independently when required.
