Position Overview
The Executive, Origination will be responsible for sourcing and structuring proprietary investment opportunities in both hyperscale digital infrastructure and alternative energy projects. This individual will leverage industry expertise and networks to identify high-value assets and partnerships, working closely with investment and portfolio teams to drive growth and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Originate and source investment opportunities in hyperscale data centers, renewable generation (wind, solar, hydro, BESS), and emerging alternative energy solutions (green hydrogen, RNG, distributed generation).
Build and maintain relationships with developers, utilities, hyperscalers, technology providers, landowners, and regulators.
Evaluate new markets and geographies with focus on land, power, interconnection, and sustainability.
Partner with internal investment teams on deal structuring, valuation, and transaction execution.
Lead negotiations for joint ventures, partnerships, and site acquisitions.
Monitor policy, regulatory, and energy market dynamics impacting digital infrastructure and energy transition sectors.
Represent the firm in industry forums to increase visibility, enhance origination pipeline, and expand strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
10–15+ years in digital infrastructure, renewable energy, or alternative energy origination with a proven track record of sourcing and closing transactions.
Strong network across hyperscalers (cloud/AI operators), renewable developers, utilities, and government stakeholders.
Experience in land acquisition, interconnection, permitting, and PPA negotiations.
Exposure to private equity, infrastructure funds, or institutional capital environments highly preferred.
Strong financial and strategic acumen with ability to partner closely with investment teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in finance, engineering, or energy-related field preferred.
