Project Engineer

Overview

The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in the design and execution of high-voltage (HV) substation EPC projects, applying technical expertise to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems. This position involves developing project design criteria and producing comprehensive design packages to guide construction and operation. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales and project management, to anticipate challenges and provide innovative solutions. With a strong emphasis on adhering to industry standards and best practices, the Project Engineer is instrumental in delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Lead high-voltage substation projects that are essential to clients and the communities they serve.
  • Ensure successful project delivery on schedule and within budget while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Build collaboration among internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Promote proactive risk management to address challenges before they impact project execution.
  • Maintain strict compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Provide effective leadership that motivates and empowers project teams.
  • Contribute to a balanced and sustainable energy future.


Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years in engineering roles within high-voltage substation EPC projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of high-voltage equipment and electrical engineering principles.
  • Project Engineering Skills: Proficiency in engineering design, analysis, and implementation, including developing and reviewing technical documentation and specifications.
  • Design & Analysis: Ability to create and evaluate engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve engineering challenges.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with project teams and stakeholders.
  • EHS Compliance: Experience ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance in engineering practices.
  • Education & Certification: Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related field) and relevant certifications, with hands-on experience in HV substation design and construction.
