What You’ll Do
Responsible for the preparation/ review of technical specifications for all transmission network equipment/power cable system
Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and incorporated
Prepare and execute the tender exercises for procurement of transmission equipment/power cable system for approved projects
Conduct technical evaluation of tenders and recommendation for award of contract
Conduct system design review with the respective Original Equipment Manufacturers and internal stakeholders prior to obtaining approval for manufacturing of transmission equipment/power cable system
Vet and approve engineering drawings, technical submissions and Inspection/testing procedures prior to Original Equipment Manufacturers proceeding with manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning
Witnessing of Type Test/Factory Acceptance Test/Factory Audit
Identify, explore, conceptualises and recommends total solutions through implementation of new technology, design, operation and maintenance philosophies to enhance capital asset management
Involve in conducting investigation of faulty equipment/parts
Liaise with government & relevant agencies for consultation of wayleave clearance for the proposed power cable routes
Benchmarks against established power utilities for best engineering practices and solutions
What You’ll Need
A recognized degree in Electrical Engineering from a university recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore (preferably, specializes in power engineering) with at least 3-10 years of working experience in power & energy industry
A team player with a positive working attitude and the ability to handle tight deadlines
Good oral and written communication skills
Proactive, responsible and independent in resolving issues
