We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Traffic Engineer to join our team in the North East region.Job Description: As a Traffic Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, planning, and implementing transportation projects to enhance traffic flow, safety, and efficiency in the North East region. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and designers to develop effective traffic engineering solutions.Responsibilities: Conduct traffic impact studies, traffic signal design, and transportation planning analysis.Analyze traffic data and perform capacity analysis to identify areas of improvement.Design and optimize traffic signal timings, signal phasing, and traffic control devices.Develop traffic management plans for construction projects and special events.Evaluate and recommend solutions for traffic calming measures and pedestrian safety.Collaborate with stakeholders, including transportation agencies, municipalities, and clients, to ensure project success and compliance with regulations.Utilize advanced software and traffic simulation tools to model and evaluate traffic patterns and scenarios.Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in traffic engineering. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure in the North East region.Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, traffic signal design, and transportation planning.Proficiency in traffic analysis software, such as SYNCHRO, VISSIM, and/or TRANSYT.Familiarity with traffic engineering guidelines, MUTCD, HCM, and AASHTO standards.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve traffic-related issues.Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Prior experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning is desirable.
Our a unique opportunity available to join their Water Infrastructure team, where the successful candidate will provide high-quality water, wastewater, and/or recycled water service. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in environmental engineering, water and/or wastewater treatment, solids removal and handling, extended aeration facilities, membrane treatment equipment, and process piping. The candidate should have experience in preparing engineering reports, contract documents for construction, and overseeing the construction of work design.What will you need to succeed? 4-8 years of engineering experience.B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental.Registered Professional Engineer. In addition, this position will require experience in the following supervisory and project engineering duties: Coordinating the work of engineers and developing and monitoring phase schedules and budgets components of larger projectsExperience leading the design or portions of the designExperience in Construction Administration including coordinating submittal reviewFamiliarity with AutoCAD softwareMentoring and directing staff on technical assignments, and reviewing technical work completed by engineers under supervision.Interacting with clients, representing the firm in a professional manner.
