Senior WTG Installation Specialist – Offshore Wind - Denmark
We are seeking an experienced Senior Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) Installation Specialist to support offshore wind installation activities within a leading EPC organisation. This role will be pivotal in managing wind turbine installation scopes and contributing technical expertise across project phases — from development to execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support offshore wind turbine installation management activities within a complex EPC environment.
Provide expert input on commercial tenders for future installation vessel spreads — including reviewing technical specifications, conducting installation modelling, and offering detailed evaluations and recommendations.
Represent the installation function during wind turbine procurement processes throughout development and engineering phases.
Participate in the selection of installation vessel suppliers to ensure safe, high-quality execution during the construction phase.
Support project teams in managing contractors and suppliers during offshore turbine installation.
Capture and share technical insights, best practices, and lessons learned to inform current and future project teams.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering, naval architecture, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
Previous experience with offshore wind farm project execution is desirable; however, strong candidates from adjacent sectors will also be considered.
Solid understanding of offshore construction vessels, especially Wind Turbine Installation Vessels (WTIVs); familiarity with vessel design and marine operations is a plus.
Hands-on experience in WTG offshore installation management or similar technical roles is desirable.
Proficiency in standard office IT applications and a willingness to learn in-house digital tools.
Strong awareness of construction safety standards and QHSE best practices.
Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
