Position: Cost AnalystLocation: Remote Overview:The Project Controlling - Cost Analyst plays a crucial role in project management by providing expertise in cost control and financial analysis. This role involves analyzing project budgets, tracking expenses, monitoring financial performance, and generating reports to support informed decision-making. The Project Controlling Cost Analyst collaborates with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to ensure projects and project portfolios meet their financial objectives. Primary Responsibilities:Cost Control and Budgeting: Prepare and analyze project budgets based on cost estimates and scope of work.Identify cost drivers and potential risks that may impact project budgets.Assist in developing cost control strategies and implementing cost-saving measures. Cost Tracking and Reporting: Monitor project expenses and track costs against budgeted amounts.Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial summaries for project stakeholders.Provide timely updates on project financial status, highlighting areas of concern or potential cost overruns Change Management: Assess and analyze change requests and their potential impact on project costs.Collaborate with project managers to evaluate change order proposals.Track and document approved changes, ensuring proper integration into project budgets and financial records. Risk Analysis: Conduct risk assessments related to project costs and financial performance.Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact.Analyze historical cost data to support accurate cost forecasting and risk identification. Cost Control Processes: Establish and maintain effective cost control processes and procedures.Implement tools and systems to streamline cost tracking and reporting.Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend best practices. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and financial objectives.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders regarding cost-related matters. Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.5 – 7 years of experience in project controls or project management with a focus in a cost analyst role. Technical: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred experience with Procore, Quickbase, and Power BI.Knowledge of project scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts.Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to cost control and project management (e.g., PMBOK, AACEI) is a plus. This position will report to the Project Controlling manager.

Offshore Wind technical manager Spencer Ogden is looking for a highly motivated and skilful professional to strengthen its client's offshore wind project development team in Korea.Role description:· Manage the technical issues and communicate with the technical team , e.g. management of all technical functions and work; focal point for technical discussions and its commercial impact; resource planning· Responsibility for definition, optimization and integration of the project design with due regard to the project commercial drivers, schedule and budget;· Manage the engineering input into the Project Description, Pre-FEED, permits and statutory consents during the project development phase· Deliver the project design basis at appropriate stages through the project· Promote a consistent and inherently safe design, and ensure that design safety risks are demonstrable.
