They are seeking a O&M Plant Manager to oversee the running of Western Downs Solar Farm, QLD.

Job Title: O&M Electrician

Location: Gangarri Solar Farm, Wandoan (QLD)

Western Downs Solar Farm (QLD)

Roster: 5&2 (Local candidates) or 10/4 or 3/1 (Flexible to suit the right candidate)

FIFO: Open to fly the right person in/out to site from interstate 

Hourly rate: $71.21 + 11% Super (50 hours per week)

15% Uploading on annual salary once transferred over to Permanent member of staff

Travel: Pay relocation journey to site

Hours: 10 per day

Overtime: Random

Accomodation: Provided

Contract: 6 month contract to permanent

 

Role purpose:

Responsible for the Operation & Maintenance of the Solar Plant.

Maintaining the Plant in accordance with the developed Annual Maintenance Plan, and in accordance with all of the installed equipment manufacturers recommendations, and all contractual requirements, as delineated within the Operations & Maintenance contract between current company and the Plant Owner.

 

Experience required:

HV field experience

Experience within a similar position for 4+ years

Electrical field experience

Ability to meet contractual guarantees and obligations

Ability to work productively on your own as well as in a team

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritise workload effectively

Excellent management and team building skills.

My client, a clean energy company, is currently seeking an innovative and motivated leader with at least 5 years of experience in utility-scale solar construction management.Principal Duties and Responsibilities: My client seeks an innovative and motivated individual who will have responsibilities during the construction process. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Collaborates with the safety department to ensure all safety goals are the highest priority. Provides excellence in the management and delivery of the project in line with the company's expectations. Creates a culture of continuous improvement. Prepare and manage the project execution plan, coordinate and host project kick-off meetings, and prepare and manage effective project closeout. Work with the Commercial Manager to ensure all contracts (prime and sub-contracts) are effectively managed, including change orders and documentation of variances. Onsite owner's representative; monitoring utility-scale solar construction completed by 3rd party EPC Contractors. Cultivate positive working relationships with 3rd party EPC Contractors. Manage the construction of utility-scale solar projects to the 3rd party EPC contract and permit requirements, including schedule, budget, scope of work, and deliverables. Complete daily safety walks and submit a daily safety walk report to the head of internal safety programs. Manage internal safety goals with 3rd party EPC Contractors. Review draft invoices with 3rd party EPC Contractor and sign off on work completed. First line of defense against proposed change orders; escalating to the internal Project Manager as necessary. Proactively communicate and manage an ongoing punch list with 3rd party EPC Contractor, managing the final punch list from Mechanical Completion to completion.
