Spencer Ogden is excited to announce the appointment of four new executive directors across our EMEA, APAC and Americas regions; James Pipe, Tom Maton, Lars Gloessner and James Holden.

Commenting on the appointments, Spencer Ogden CEO, Henry De Lusignan said: “In line with Spencer Ogden’s new strategic direction, I am delighted that James Pipe, Tom Maton, Lars Gloessner and James Holden will be forming our global ED team specialising in growth across four key areas: Client Services, EMEA Contract, NA Perm and APAC Contract. Their strong knowledge and experience will be vital as we continue our ambitious plans to grow and develop recruitment solutions for our clients.”

With over 23 years of professional recruitment experience, James Pipe has been with Spencer Ogden since its inception in 2010.

Taking full responsibility for the Client Services division of Spencer Ogden’s global business, James will play a key role in meeting the company’s growth goal of providing exceptional client service and candidate delivery while cementing Spencer Ogden as a market leader in sustainability.

Having grown our London office into the most profitable business unit in the group, Tom Maton is an expert in contract recruitment. Stepping into this new role, Tom will continue to build high performing and collaborative contract business across EMEA with a focus on expanding contract within our German markets.

Tom said “I feel honoured to be stepping into this role and to have the opportunity to work with such a talented management team.The plan is to refine our offering within core sectors, creating a seamless operating rhythm across all three offices and embodying contract best practice as one team. What excites me the most, is to see each of my team step up alongside me, to create a high performing EMEA contract division that we can all be proud of.”

With 19 years perm recruitment experience, Lars has played a critical role in defining our key account and sustainable market strategy, Lars Gloessner will focus on driving growth within our North Americas Perm. 

When approached about this new opportunity, Lars said "I am excited to take on the role of Executive Director, Americas Perm and to lead the Americas perm business into an exciting future. We have built a strong foundation over the last few years, have a brilliant team of experienced and new consultants, and some great clients mixed with a very strong base of underutilized accounts and exciting growth opportunities. Our markets across Sustainability, Infrastructure, and Sustainable Finance have exciting growth prospects for years to come. Now is the time to combine the separate teams across the US into one coherent team tackling the market together and taking the perm business to the next level.”

Having joined Spencer Ogden as a Contract graduate, James Holden has been with the business for over 11 years. James relocated to Australia to launch our Perth Office there with our Melbourne office following years later. With his expertise in contract recruitment and proven record of success, James will drive the transition of our contractor base into higher value, longer term, white collar sustainable markets.
