We are seeking a Contracts and Claims Assistant to join our team and provide comprehensive support in contract administration and claims management for projects throughout the Americas region. As the Contracts and Claims Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects, mitigating risks, and enhancing our business reputation with our valued customers.Reporting directly to the Americas Regional Head of Contracts and Claims Management, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Commercial Project Managers, Paralegals, Legal, Finance, Scheduling, and Technical Accounting departments. This dynamic role requires a motivated individual who can quickly analyze information, multitask effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and exhibit strong organizational and communication skills. Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors and as well as internal engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, network, permitting) to meet on time, on budget, and high-quality completion of project deliverables.The candidate will be responsible for ensuring deliverables meet contractual requirements, are constructable, and that country / regional impacts to design / cost are considered by engineering functions.Support in the management of internal and external design review meetings and verify compliance with the internal quality program certified to ISO 9001. Overview: We are seeking an experienced Combustion Engineer. The ideal candidate should have a background in boiler engineering, particularly in the firing systems, air & gas flue draft systems, and pressure part arrangement including their design requirement, scope, associated engineering drawings/documents, and performance guarantees and tests. They should also have experience in developing and reviewing technical specifications, managing the RFP process for EPC, and evaluating EPC proposals.Responsibilities: Develop and review technical specifications for boiler components, including firing systems, air & gas flue draft systems, and pressure part arrangement.Provide technical comments and deficiencies and coordinate with others on the project team.Manage the RFP process for EPC, evaluate EPC proposals, and conduct technical negotiations.Review vendor submittals to ensure they meet the technical specifications.Create detailed engineering documents such as P&IDs and data sheets.Provide technical support to the construction team during the installation phase.Work closely with the design team to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards. A Master's or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering plus 3 or more years of relevant experience is also acceptable. The candidate should be proficient in specifying all types of HV and MV equipment used in substations and have expertise in AutoCAD.Excellent communication skills are a must as the candidate will be responsible for collaborating with clients, subconsultants, and subcontractors. Additionally, the candidate will be required to develop 3D layouts for HVDC and FACTS substation projects, including electromechanical design, development of general arrangement, layout and elevation drawings considering electrical and mechanical parameters of the project.Other duties include performing cable ampacity, grounding, lightning, illumination, and station auxiliary load calculations, creating equipment specifications and detailed bill of materials, and developing 3D layouts for AIS, GIS and FACTS devices.
