HSE Supervisor

Location: Offshore, Netherlands Languages: Dutch and English proficiency required Transport and Construction of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG)

We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Supervisor to join our team for a 6-month contract, focusing on the transport and construction of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) offshore in the Netherlands. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to our renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HSE Oversight: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during the transport and construction of WTGs offshore.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate preventive measures.
  • Safety Training: Provide guidance and training to ensure that all personnel involved are well-versed in safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate and implement effective emergency response plans to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: Valid GWO (Global Wind Organization) certificate.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience: Previous experience as an HSE Supervisor in the transport and construction of WTGs is highly desired.
  • Availability: Immediate availability to start and commit to a 6-month contract.
  • Offshore Experience: Familiarity with offshore work environments and the unique challenges they present.

Under the direction of the Environmental Compliance Supervisor, this position will primarily engage in providing environmental compliance support to the EHS, construction and operations teams during the late-stage development and construction phase of renewable assets portfolio in California and other states as projects are constructed.This role is a full-time and hybrid position, working remotely (from home) and will be based out of Southern California (Kern County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County areas preferred) making as needed day trips to the projects to support compliance activities. The individual needs to be located within driving distance to each of the facilities to be accessible for the required as needed day trips to the projects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned as needed) - Develop environmental compliance programs for each project encompassing all local, state and federal permitting requirements.- Manage and perform field environmental audits, reporting, and monitoring for construction projects and renewable energy facilities.- Review technical reports and provide quality assurance of project documents with a focus on compliance of permit conditions, procedures, and regulatory agency regulations for projects in the development stage through execution stage.- Working closely with EPC and contractors/consultants to ensure project compliance providing guidance, interpretation, and requirements.- Initiate support with development team during late-stage entitlement and resource agency permit procurement to provide seamless transition to construction- Ensure seamless transition to operational compliance.- Review cost budgets, seek proposals and support contracting, invoicing, work plans, and execution strategies for the environmental compliance responsibilities.- Manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.- Coordinate if asked with local, state and federal agencies on the project's behalf.- If requested, present training materials and documents. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - At least 3 years of environmental and regulatory compliance.
