Your goal: Management of project development in France in full autonomy from the identification phase of the opportunity to the commissioning:

Job description :

  • Identification and prospecting of new opportunities following the company's exploration strategy (prioritizing large scale projects), with the management of qualification and feasibility studies
  • Contact and meeting with the owners and all stakeholders involved to ensure the land and local acceptability necessary to launch the projects and management of external representation of the company's photovoltaic activity and consultation with local actors (communities, population, political actors and administrations) through public meetings, presentations or offices.
  • Build relationships and negotiate with landowners and operators for land leases signatures, and preparation of offers and negotiations, including bids for calls for projects
  • Internal reporting including preparation of internal investment committees (budget preparation, planning, setting objectives, risk analysis)
  • Manage technical, environmental, and economic studies, including the management of external consultants, in close contact with internal support teams and including consultation with providers, supervision of negotiations and monitoring of services in close collaboration with internal support teams.
  • Management of all the authorizations submissions, instruction and obtentions needed to build and finance solar projects, including agrivoltaic projects.

The Solar PV project Manager may also be required to work on:

  • The management of a portfolio of prospects and opportunities
  • The management of external service providers such as business contributors if necessary
  • Supporting the other project managers for commercial negotiations, local dialogues, and projects defense.

Additionally, you will be supporting the planning team and if necessary, the legal team on any grid connection related matters to ensure that the permits and legal documentation are fully aligned with the grid requirements. Responsibilities:• Identify and qualify grid capacity that are suitable for PV, Wind and BESS by undertaking the desktop power system analysis.• Originate, submit, and managed the process of transmission and distribution connection applications. • Gathering intelligence and analysing the existing and future electricity network available data bases at transmission and distribution level to provide input into the location and electrical characteristics of new solar/wind developments:• Engagement with NGESO and DNOs on pre-app meetings and budget offers to glean market-leading intelligence on the availability of connections any upcoming developments (short-, mid-, and long-term)• Completing the ENA's G99 application form for developments connected to the distribution network.• Generating SLDs using the Auto Cad and analysing the thirds party technical drawing.• Reviewing grid connection offers and advise the Management team on summarising costs, scope of work and technical aspects of the offer.• Undertaking detailed cost analysis of the grid connection costs and implementing strategies to reduce and optimise the costs for connection.• Manage project pipeline by communicating with DNOs / NGESO/ ICPs as necessary to track progress with development.• Liaising with developers and TOs/DNOs to understand the status and delivery programs and meet the milestones for grid connections.• Working with NGESO’s connection portal, completing the application forms including DRC for specific transmission network opportunities. Special Requirements: • 3-4 years in a technical role working electricity projects, including submission of grid connection applications at distribution or transmission level.• Electrical engineering background preferred (you may have a postgraduate degree in a relevant topic) with experience in a technical environment.• Working knowledge of the Grid Code /ENA G99 is important.• Experience with DIgSILENT Power Factory.• Ideally working experience in Solar and wind projects.• BESS experience is preferred, but not necessarily required.

This person will work with various SCADA vendors, EPCs, equipment manufacturers, utilities, and internal teams to meet all grid integration, NERC, and company operational requirements. Coordinate with SCADA Vendors to ensure control logic meets all grid code requirements (LGIA, PPA, NERC Inverter Based Resource Guidelines, IEEE 2800, etc) Drive coordination with Utilities and ISOs/RTOs to develop SCADA Control logic (both Real and Reactive power controls) that meet local area Grid Code requirements. Serve as the company SME to utilities that may be unfamiliar with Renewable Resources or concerned about their impact to the grid. Drive continuous improvement with various SCADA Vendors with the goal of our company being the industry leader in SCADA controls. Areas of continuous improvement include designing controls per industry recommendations/guidelines (NERC IBR Guidelines, IEEE 2800, lessons learned from Projects, etc) Develop and document company Standards for SCADA Controls and develop SCADA Controls philosophy documents Review and oversee HMI build-out to ensure all applicable pages are available in the HMI, all equipment and associated operations parameters are displayed in a logical/functional way, HMI controls are intuitive, and HMI is consistent amongst projects.
