About the Role

A leading global wind turbine manufacturer is expanding its international delivery and pre-sales capability and is seeking a Technical Proposal Manager to support the development of competitive, technically robust wind project bids across Australia. - Installation methodology
    - Crane selection and feasibility
    - Site constructability and logistics strategy
  • Develop and optimise installation strategies, including crane selection, erection methodology, and constructability planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with sales, commercial, engineering, delivery teams, suppliers, and global HQ to align technical and commercial objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks related to installation and logistics, contributing to bid risk registers and bid/no-bid decisions.
  • Support transportation and route engineering activities, including oversized transport planning and regulatory considerations.
  • Manage technical interfaces with suppliers and procurement, ensuring installation and logistics solutions are aligned with cost and schedule assumptions.
  • Apply lifting engineering principles (capacity charts, load radius, rigging concepts) to validate safe and efficient installation approaches.
  • Leverage market intelligence and competitor benchmarking to enhance technical competitiveness and improve project win rates.
  • Capture and apply lessons learned from executed projects to continuously refine proposal strategies and installation methodologies.

Requirements

  • 7–15 years’ experience in wind turbine installation & logistics, with strong exposure to pre-sales / technical proposal environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting or delivering wind turbine projects, including:

    - Site logistics
    - Cranage operations
    - Turbine erection methodology
  • Hands-on local project experience is mandatory.
