Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Collaborates with the safety department to ensure all safety goals are the highest priority. Complete daily safety walks and submit a daily safety walk report to the head of internal safety programs. Manage internal safety goals with 3rd party EPC Contractors. Attend internal and external meetings as necessary (e.g., daily, weekly). Track project progress against the schedule and manage schedule remediation plans. Discuss daily objectives with 3rd party EPC Contractor and promptly report back perceived risks and other issues/observations. Verify and sign-off on various construction milestones (civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical) and update internal tracking software. Ensure thorough and quality work by verifying items against scopes of work and design plans to minimize punch lists and deliver the best-in-class assets. Verify 3rd party EPC Contractors adhere to QA/QC plans. Work with in-house engineering to provide information and attend job walks to facilitate reports from 3rd party independent engineers. Collect 3rd party EPC deliverables and either upload them to an internal data room or send them to the appropriate team member for sign-off (e.g., test reports, progress reports, etc.). Review draft invoices with 3rd party EPC Contractor and sign off on work completed. First line of defense against proposed change orders; escalating to the internal Project Manager as necessary. Proactively communicate and manage an ongoing punch list with 3rd party EPC Contractor, managing the final punch list from Mechanical Completion to completion. The Construction Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the assigned project(s) in order to achieve safe, timely and profitable completion of each project. Plans, organizes, and supervises building and related facilities portions of construction work for an assigned area of a construction project. Responsible for the construction planning of the construction related activities of the subcontractor and/or self-perform to confirm the completion of contractual construction activities. Maintains continuity of safety, job progress and maximizes efficiencies related to the assigned area. - Responsible for the oversight of the following project work activities: site earthwork and layout, concrete flatwork and foundation, structural steel, steel and wood framing, interior finishes, millwork, roofing, plumbing, HVAC systems, fire protection, and commercial electrical systems. - Responsible for overall supervision of construction effort, which includes: safety, productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, materials management, scheduling, design, and contractual performance of the project. - Responsible for subcontractor contractual compliance and/or self-perform on designated construction related activities. - Build effective client and subcontractor relationships. Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, and other contractors. - Responsible for managing QA/QC documents, inspection logs, as built drawings. - Support the completion of turnover packages. - Collaborate with project management to develop and implement project procedures, working documents, and standards. - Authorize purchase requisitions, field design change requests, etc., under supervision of Construction Manager and Project Manager. - Responsible for project safety. Reviews and audits site specific safety documentation, including Pre-Task Analysis (PTAs) and Task Safety Observations (TSOs) on a regular basis. - Complete daily field reports and take daily pictures to document construction progress. - Assess future work activities and identify any concerns with work plans by utilizing subcontractors 3-week look ahead report. - Develop a marked-up and as-built set of drawings to produce the record set documents, and answer RFIs with assistance from Assistant Project Manager or Field Engineer. - Direct and manage subcontractor or self-preform subsidiaries as necessary to comply with the established project schedule, and track and verify progress on an installed quantity and work hour basis. - Oversee the construction of complete buildings and/or structures. - Develop punch lists of items out of compliance or not completed. - Verify the most current drawing revisions are being used in the field. - Utilize project construction management tool(s). - Read, interpret, and understand civil, foundation, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.- Performs other duties as assigned - Complies with all policies and standardsRequirements:- Bachelor Degree and 7 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on similar projects. The Project Construction Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the pre-planning and execution for the client's renewables and power portfolio. In addition to project-supporting tasks, the position will support continuous improvement initiatives such as documenting and improving processes and procedures, market industry knowledge. Document Control:- Manage documents control and workflow monitoring during the EPC RFP, EPC contracting, and during the construction, testing and commission of the project.- Support the set-up of the internal and external project folders.- Support the design of the workflow for the different processes during the project execution.- Maintain a library of standard templates and guiding principles for close-out documentations.- Assist in scanning, organizing, indexing, archiving essential project documentation.- Fulfill document retrieval requests.- Receive and process RFIs, NCNs, Submittals and Transmittals.- Maintain tracking log for RFIs, NCNs, Submittals and Transmittals.- Check compliance and quality of documents against contract requirements.- Liaise with Client/Contractor/Subcontractor.- Report on process of documents as needed.- Administrate the document control system/platform for the project.- Manage the process of Job Books creation and compliance, in accordance with contracts requirements.- Review and comment on QA/QC documents required for Job Books.- Transmit documentation and submittals through the project management platform.- Receive, log, and track plans and specifications as received including all revisions.- Maintain all required hard copy and electronic copy files of project documentation.- Support project team with regards to submittals, RFI's, drawings, specifications, and other project documents. Site Administrative Management:- Participation in selection and training of on-site administrative staff regarding specific job duties, including but not limited to, document control, accounting support, SAP, and standard processes.- Manage company IT equipment and office supplies transfer from one project to another.- Support project site team in getting site staff for construction equipped with all standard office, safety, and IT equipment.- Support the implementation of the inspection the testing plans.- Support the training and on-boarding of new site team.- Manage the different Service Agreements for the project, including NDA's, MSA's, CSA's and SOW's. EPC RFP & Contracting Process Support: - Support the Project Engineering & Construction Manager during the RFP process.- Prepare BoP contract exhibits (including the SOW, technical specifications, drawings, quality, and safety requirements) before launching the RFP.- Ensures construction contracts are aligned (back-to-back and no gap) between Owner Supplied items, DBS contracts and other construction interfaces.- Support the review and response to bidders RFIs.- Work with project team to evaluate bids and award contracts.- Support the EPC contracting process with the selected EPC-contractors, including the Exhibits negations. General:- Track proper reporting of key project safety metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis for all projects and contractors.- Support of company initiatives, such as implementing new processes, procedures, or development of department specific tools.- Performs other duties as assigned.
