About the role:Our client is currently seeking an experineced Planner to join their team based on site, in Perth's metro south of the river, to assist in developing and maintaining project schedules for a battery storage facility.In this role, you will be responsible for: Interacting with project stakeholders including clients, vendors, project teams and sub-contractors in relation to project tracking.Project monitoring across time, cost, quality, resources and identify opportunities for improvements.Report resource tracking, ensuring that controls report cost transparency and forecasting data for the project.Communicating planned activity on a weekly basis to the team, including analysis of what was completed in prior week and what remains pending. To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.Minimum 3 years' experience in project planning and scheduling.Demonstrated experience with Primavera P6 software.Demonstrated experience in implementation of planning, audit, review processes, risk assessment and management methodologies.Excellent organisational and time management, with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and high attention to detail.Organisation skills to coordinate multiple tasks on multiple projects in accordance with the overall project plan.Track record of achievements in a project planning or project controls role, having demonstrated strategic input which contributed to the success of a major project.Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.Advanced computer literacy skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook, and other programs relevant to this position. Description:The Assistant Project Controls Specialist will support all aspects of project controls and reporting, including, project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development and schedule control. Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining a cost management reporting data warehouse to produce valuable program controls reports and data. Perform project planning and scheduling tasks.Coordinate project schedules and assist with the development of scheduling reports.Coordinate project set-up in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.Review data; maintain logs; and run reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.Validate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).Perform budget tracking against Purchase Orders or Subcontracts.Assist with upstream (prime contract) / downstream (PO & subcontract) change orders.Document changes to cost reports or forecasts.Assist with the development of a cash flow.Assist with the development of Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 schedules.Complete schedules and diagrams in Microsoft Visio.Apply logic ties within the schedule.Document schedule progress.Perform resource loading of a schedule.Develop a earned value tracking document.Integrate data from one program to another.Assist quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.All other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.Experience with Oracle Primavera P6.Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office.May be required to obtain an OSHA 10 hour safety certification.Willingness to accept long term field assignments
